AI Merchant Pro

Documentation

Everything you need to get started with AI Merchant Pro.

Quick Start

Get your AI-ready product feeds up and running in just a few minutes.

Step 1: Install the Plugin

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file from CodeCanyon after purchase
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin in WordPress
  3. Select the ZIP file and click Install Now
  4. Click Activate after installation

Step 2: Flush Permalinks

This is a critical step that many users miss:

  1. Go to Settings → Permalinks
  2. Click Save Changes (you don't need to change anything)
  3. This registers the feed URLs with WordPress

⚠️ Important

If you skip this step, your feed URLs will return 404 errors.

Step 3: Access Your Feeds

Your feeds are now available at:

  • Google Merchant XML: https://yoursite.com/?feed=googlemerchant
  • AI/ChatGPT JSON: https://yoursite.com/?feed=chatgpt_json

Step 4: Configure Settings (Optional)

For most stores, the default settings work great. But you can customize:

  • Shipping rules for accurate shipping costs in feeds
  • Category mapping to Google product categories
  • Product filtering to include/exclude specific products
  • Scheduled updates for automatic feed regeneration

Step 5: Submit to Platforms

  • Copy your XML feed URL and submit to Google Merchant Center
  • Use your JSON feed URL for AI platform integrations (where supported)

You can add parameters to filter your feeds:

  • ?feed=googlemerchant&category=123 — Filter by category ID
  • ?feed=googlemerchant&limit=1000 — Limit number of products

Troubleshooting

Feed URLs show 404 error

Solution: Flush your permalinks.

  1. Go to Settings → Permalinks
  2. Click "Save Changes" without making any changes
  3. Try accessing the feed URL again

Some products are missing from the feed

Products may be excluded if they:

  • Are out of stock (if configured to exclude)
  • Are set to private or draft status
  • Are in excluded categories
  • Have validation errors preventing inclusion

Check your plugin settings and the validation report for details.

Feed generation times out or crashes

For large catalogs, you may need to adjust server settings (see below).

If using the Pro version, try enabling batch processing mode in the settings.

Google Merchant disapprovals

Run the ACP validation (Pro) to identify issues:

  • Missing required fields (GTIN, brand, description)
  • Invalid image URLs or dimensions
  • Price mismatches with landing page
  • Incorrect category mapping

Large Catalog Recommendations

For catalogs with 5,000+ products, we recommend the following server settings. These are general guidelines — actual requirements may vary based on your server configuration and product complexity.

Setting 5k Products 10k+ Products
memory_limit 256MB 512MB
max_execution_time 300 seconds 600 seconds
post_max_size 64MB 128MB

Note: These are recommendations, not requirements. The Pro version's streaming processing often works with lower settings. Contact your hosting provider if you need help adjusting these values.
